I bring an extensive skill set that spans research, reporting, interviewing, writing, fact-checking and editing. My services range from copywriting for websites and newsletters to formulating content strategy and providing developmental editing.

Throughout my career, I have covered topics including policy, technology, health, science and the environment, with bylines in publications such as Fortune, Medium, CityLab and SF Weekly. I have also served as the managing editor and editor-in-chief of regional publications, earning two California Journalism Awards from the California News Publishers Association.

I earned a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University. I frequently take new professional courses to stay current on best editing and writing practices. I am a member of The Authors Guild, the Editorial Freelancers Association, and ACES: The Society for Editing.
